The inspirational exhibition Design is a state of mind curated by Martino Gamper will be touring in Italy. Firstly to the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli in Turin (22/10/2014–22/02/2015) then to Museion in Bolzano (12/06/2015-06/09/2015).

The exhibition is effectively the story of design from the 1930’s to the present day seen through the eye’s of a single typology, shelving. Each shelving system is then populated by a series of collections by designers and friends of Gamper.  The result is a celebration of the ‘un-designed’ found object seamlessly exhibited alongside masterpieces of author design.

Seen here are a selection of found objects from Sebastian Bergne’s personal collection. In the exhibition they are displayed on Bruno Mathsson’s 1943 pine and birch bookcase.
