Sebastian Bergne contributed to the Academy Talks Design lecture series at the Royal Danish Academy, Copenhagen this spring.
His talk entitled Design humour and humanity showed a diverse selection of his work from the last 30 years focusing on the importance of a project’s starting point.
On February 17 at 7:30 PM, IED Madrid hosted the inaugural talk of Madrid Design PRO at its Gran Vía campus, marking the start of the Madrid Design Week program. Every year, designer and artist Sebastian Bergne produces an edition of a special or small object to give at Christmas. A kind of Christmas card with a twist. This is a retrospective cabinet exhibition of these festive objects. Some are functional, some less so, but all are playful. A number of these objects are available for sale in multiples during the exhibition.

The Art Workers’ Guild Table Top Museums was back this year. This inventive celebration of the individual and extraordinary rules of those who collect took place on Saturday 20 September in Queens square. A delightful exhibition of 30 installations, curated by Guild members and others, featuring museums of left behind shopping lists, objects which look like books but aren’t books, a creaky clockwork collection and much, much, more!
