Groups of wooden blocks crafted from reclaimed woods. Their proportions are informed by the many standard book and paper formats giving them an archetypal and satisfying weight and feel. Each group composition is unique and can be used for food chopping, as presentation boards or simply as a object of interest.
Each block is a unique combination of size, wood type and grain, they are sequentially numbered 1 to 100, branded with the Sebastian Bergne mark and wrapped as shown.
Book Blocks are finished with a lightly oiled surface so should not be submerged in water, so are not dishwasher safe. Each block is hand made from reclaimed wood and may have unusual grain, cracks or markings, this is intensional and considered part of their patina and charm.
