Porcelain tea bowl for preparing and drinking matcha tea.
The ‘double’ bowl form creates a line or horizon around the bowl. The hand dipped glaze then settles slightly in the line and natural variations reminiscent of landscape and clouds form above it.
Ha Matcha is the latest collaboration between Tokyo Saikai (Ha’ porcelain) and designer and art director Sebastian Bergne. Combining expertise in porcelain manufacturing with a clear creative vision, the Horizon collection was developed in cooperation with the Sekishu-Isa school of tea. Made in cast porcelain containing earth grains. D 15.5 cm x H 8.5 cm. Available in black or brown.
